Limit Resource Downloads v1.1.3 Has Released ​

In this update, we've fixed an error related to "External Download URL" resources and expanded support for certain restrictions while clearly outlining limitations.

Changelog:​

• Resolved an [E_WARNING] Attempt to read property "Container" on null error, reported by @mrdoitnyce.
• Allowing users to download resources with "External Download URL" without issues.
  Notes:
  • Resources with "External Download URL" now support:
    • Positive reaction limit.
    • Message count limit.
  • Resources with "External Download URL" do not support:
    • Download limit.
    • Countdown timer.

In this update, we removed an emoji () from a couple of phrases. This emoji caused an error (reported by @olgert zerbaska) during add-on installation if your config.php was missing the line $config['fullUnicode'] = true;. Here's what's changed:

• We took out the emoji from these phrases:
  • xcu_lrdl_reaction_limit_overview
  • xcu_lrdl_reaction_limit_not_applied

If you've already installed the add-on, there's no need to upgrade to this version. It's a minor adjustment.

Native JavaScript code​

Limit Resource Downloads v1.1.2 Has Released ​

In this update, we've rewritten the JavaScript code to make it native, meaning it no longer relies on jQuery. This change prepares us for the removal of jQuery in XenForo 2.3.

Changelog​

• JavaScript has been rewritten to make it native, (no longer relies on jQuery) in preparation for removal of jQuery in XenForo 2.3.
• The add-on now detects XenForo version and serves the appropriate JavaScript code, ensuring compatibility with both XenForo 2.2 and 2.3.

If you're not running XenForo 2.3 you don't need to download and update to this version.

Download page and countdown timer before displaying the download button​

1.1.0 ​

We're excited to roll out the v1.1.0 release of Limit Resource Downloads, a significant update that implemented a new download page, countdown timer before displaying the download button and much more. (Also checkout last 2 beta updates).

What's next?​

We have finished adding new features for v1.1 series. Our development focus will now shift to Profile Audio Player v1.1.0. Meanwhile, for this add-on, we'll be dedicated to improving stability, refining existing functionalities, and resolving reported bugs and compatibility issues.

• Added new widget position to place widgets in the sidebar position on the download countdown timer page:
  • Limit resource downloads: Countdown timer.
• Included additional new templates and phrases.

Admin option to set default Countdown timer time.

Usergroup permission to override default timer time.

If all conditions are met, clicking the original Download button redirects to this new download page. User once need to click "Get the download link" to start countdown timer.
